A Cup of Learning is a training programme, developed in collaboration with Lavazza Training Center experts, dedicated to assisting young individuals in finding employment opportunities within the coffee industry.
Two specific training paths are offered: one focused on green coffee, which includes sensory analysis, processing techniques, and the tasting and evaluation of coffee based on its origins; and a second path concentrated on espresso coffee, emphasizing the theory and practice of being a barista. Training courses are conducted either directly in coffee-producing countries or at the Lavazza Training Center.
Since its inception in 2017, A Cup of Learning has significantly impacted over 400 people, providing them the skills necessary to join the workforce in 16 countries: Italy, the Dominican Republic, India, Albania, Haiti, Brazil, Cuba, Peru, Ivory Coast, Honduras, Ecuador, the USA, Australia, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
This initiative embodies our Group’s commitment, Blend for Better, to empower young people through coffee knowledge and expertise. In addition, A Cup of Learning is a way to spread coffee culture, offering the chance to transform the passion for coffee into a professional opportunity.
